A graduate of Kelaniya specialising in English & French, Ms Fernando is currently a part time lecturer at 2 leading institutes in Colombo. She is also an author of English Literature and French books for O/L students in Sri Lanka. She has 4 years experience in teaching TEFL course. She is currently reading for her Masters in Linguistics at University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka.

Jeremiah Icarus Hay

An accomplished Senior Teacher of English to speakers of other languages, with over five years’ experience in teaching General English, ESOL, IB Programme and IELTS to adults and secondary/younger learners. CELTA qualified with extensive knowledge and experience in teaching Business English to blue-chip international clients including Bosch and Nike, from gifted engineering apprentices to sales and marketing directors. International curriculum and further education sector experience with students from a range of different social and cultural backgrounds, and all abilities from beginner to proficient. Four continents and 40+ countries travelled, with a broad life experience and fourteen years successful professional business management in the UK hospitality sector. Completed three modules of a Master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) with ICT course, plus obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Business. Joining Lanka TEFL Training Institute from March 2020 after completing a 5-month contract in Ha Long, Vietnam as Deputy Foreign Principal.

Janet Savage
Area of expertise – Language & Pronunciation
Born in the UK, Ms Savage has traveled around the middle east including Bahrain where she has engaged with students in teaching English. She is a past student of Lanka TEFL Training Institute. She currently resides in Sri Lanka and conducts a number of English classes in the south of Sri Lanka. She is assigned with a number of modules involving pronunciation as a native speaker of English.
